- Core hours – children attend -- 9am to 3pm
SALARY RANGE: Senior Staff -- $16.38 / HR
Several entry level courses in Early Childhood Education may qualify as Senior Staff.
CDA – $16.63 / HR
Associate’s Degree -- $16.89 / HR

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Pre-School Senior Staff qualification. Ability to achieve CDA within one year from date of hire if do not possess Associate’s degree. Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting in all aspects of classroom operation and participation in health, nutrition, child development, social services, and parent involvement activities. Main duties include: greeting parents and children, gathering supplies/materials for the day, setting up activities, assisting with toileting children, assisting with lunchtime, planning, preparing children for departure, working with parents/volunteers, preparing room for next day, assisting with information for assessment purposes, supervising children indoors and outdoors, teaching concepts/skills per Head Start Performance Standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for daily classroom operation and curriculum implementation; participation in related health, nutrition, social services and parent involvement activities. Directs teacher assistant and classroom volunteers. Main responsibilities also include: maintaining classroom and supplies, supervising children, taking special needs into consideration when planning daily and individualized activities, recruiting volunteers, conducting parent conferences and visits, completion of necessary documentation, organizing of parent-child activities.

LOCATION: Memorial Boulevard
- HOURS/ SHIFT: 30 hours per week / Monday thru Friday
- PART-YEAR: 41 weeks / per year
SALARY: $17.77 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Driver must be at least 21 years of age; possess a Class B CDL driver’s license with a P/S endorsement and an excellent driving record. Minimum of one-year experience driving a school bus preferred. Ability to follow written directions and to complete simple forms. Hold a through knowledge of rules of the road and of the Maryland State Motor Vehicle Code, the operation and function of the assigned motor vehicle, and a working knowledge of the geography of Hagerstown and its environment. Ability to read and to understand a map. Ability to work well with a wide variety of people and to understand and to follow instructions.
