Letter from Executive Director
Hello Parents and Head Start community,
I hope that you have enjoyed your holiday and winter break! As we return to a new year, I want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to keep all of our classrooms open for in person learning!
As always, we are going to extreme lengths to clean, sanitize and protect our children and staff. Our transmission of COVID-19 within our facilities has been very very small. We want to keep it that way. We ask that you continue to monitor your children for any symptoms and PLEASE keep them home if they are sick. Please also continue being diligent in wearing a mask whenever you enter our buildings.
Having said all of that, our staff and families, like the rest of the world are being highly impacted by the current rise in positive cases and the spread of the Omicron variant. Please expect that there may be times when your child’s bus or your child’s classroom has to close temporarily due to a staffing shortage. We make every effort to cover staff absences but we must do this in a safe manner. Sometimes the only way to do that is through a temporary closure (usually only a few days or less). Individual classroom or bus closures will be communicated to you through our Class Dojo app so please check it regularly!
Please be patient with us when this happens as we will never run a bus or open a classroom without appropriate, safe staffing for your children. We know this is an inconvenience for parents and thank you for your understanding as we try to keep everyone safe while navigating this VERY challenging time!! Stay safe and healthy!
