Volunteer

Why should I volunteer for Head Start?

Volunteering is an important part of Head Start, because it shows children that you feel education is important. Volunteers are needed in all aspects of the program from helping in the classroom to assisting with policy / decision making. Head Start feels that the parent is the child's first and most important teacher. Volunteering in the classroom is one way the parent / guardian can become involved in the very first step of your child's education.
