What is Head Start Health Advisory?

The Head Start Health Services Advisory (HSAC) is a committee that meets three times a year. The committee consists of the Health Manager, Health Assistant, members of the HSWC management team, participants form the Washington County health community, and parents.

HSAC meets and speaks about the issues of health and how our program can assist children and families. The committee looks at ways of providing education to the families we serve and to the community. The committee also reviews procedures of the agency in compliance with federal policy and procedures. The HSAC strives to maintain primary intervention and health promotion measures for our agency and the families that we service.
