What is the Home Based program?
Our home based option offers educational and family enrichment opportunities for children birth –5 and pregnant moms in the comfort of the family's home.
What are Home Based Services?
Children and their families enrolled in the Home Based program receive weekly visits with an early childhood professional. Each visit lasts approximately 90 minutes and provides the family with information in five areas.

What services are available to pregnant women?
- Individualized home visits by qualified staff
- Access to prenatal & postpartum medical & dental care
- Prenatal education and support
- Postpartum follow-up with health staff
- Postpartum child developoment services
What are the benefits of the Home Based program?
- The Home Based program uses the Parents As Teachers Curriculum.
- Home visits by Early Childhood Professionals provide support, child development and education services to allow your child to grow to his/her fullest potential.
- Early screenings and ongoing assessment individualize educational services.
- Regular Group Socialization – allows opportunities for your child to participate in educational activities with children of his/her own age.
- Parenting information as well as opportunities for parents to learn more about a variety of topics and to network with others regarding child development and family issues.
- Family Support- Our trained early childhood professionals are knowledgeable about and have established relationships with community partners and are able to support families to achieve their goals.
- Prenatal Education and Support for expectant mothers with guaranteed education and developmental services for your new baby.

- Services are provided at five locations
What does a Typical Day in the Center Based program look like?
- Circle Time Activities: Reading, Calendar, Weather, Music, Creative Arts
- Free Choice Time/Individual and Small Group Activities: Block Play, Art, Writing, Reading, Table Toys, Dramatic Play, Computers, Discovery/Science, Sand and Water Play, Cooking Experiences
- Outdoor Play
- Meals: Breakfast & Lunch for AM sessions, Lunch & Snack for PM sessions, Breakfast, Lunch & Snack for Full Day
- Field Trips have included the apple orchard, the pumpkin patch, the turkey farm, the Christmas tree farm, the ice rink, the post office, the fire department, fish hatchery, intergenerational visits at retirement homes
