![]() Developmental ServicesHow does HSWC provide Disability Services? Head Start believes that children with and without disabilities should be included in all aspects of the head start program. Head Start partners with the Washington County Schools to provide special education and related services to children who may need assistance. If a child qualify for special instruction or comes into the program with a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that the child will be support by the head start staff and WCPS staff. Services may include special education, speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Children attending Head Start will be screened in the first 45 days of attending class to see if additional evaluations are needed. If parents have concerns they can make a request for a referral meeting to be held in conjunction with Washington Co. Public Schools special services team. What are Mental Health services?
